Yes, rest assured that Seraph Secure has identified and blocked a potential scam threat and protected you. If you have an account guardian, they will be notified depending on the type of threat detected.
A guardian is someone (a trusted friend or family member) who is assigned as an administrator on a Seraph Secure account. If you have a guardian who has set an account up for you, this person will receive text and email notifications about any Seraph Secure alerts you may receive. Guardians do not see any of your private information or browsing history - they will only be alerted should Seraph Secure detect a potential scam threat on your device.
Assigned account guardians will be immediately notified via email and text should you receive a Seraph Secure alert. The notification will tell them the same information that is provided on the alert. Your guardian may reach out to check on you to make sure you are okay and not actively being scammed.
Seraph Secure is designed to trigger an alert for several different reasons to keep you safe. Alerts will trigger if software is detected on your computer allowing someone remote access, if Seraph Secure detects unusual activity on your computer, or if you visit a potentially malicious website. The alert will have information and next steps to take and will also alert your guardian if your account has one assigned.
Is it safe to use my device after I get a Seraph Secure Alert?
Your computer is safe to use after an alert from Seraph Secure - rest assured that Seraph Secure has identified a potential scam threat and protected you. Any threat has been blocked and your guardian will be notified so they are aware of the situation.
I closed out of the alert. How can I check what it said?
If you received an alert, you can check your alert history in the Seraph Secure application. To do this, locate the Seraph Secure icon in the system tray in the bottom right corner of your taskbar. The Seraph Secure icon is a blue shield with a white wing. Open Seraph Secure by left clicking on this icon. Locate and click on the "Alert History" button in the bottom right. You can also view alert history from your account dashboard.

No, Seraph Secure is an anti-scam software, not an antivirus software. It is compatible with antivirus software, but they work in different ways and one is not a replacement for the other. An antivirus software can prevent you from downloading malware and viruses and help you remove them, but they do not prevent scammers from connecting to your computer. Seraph Secure was developed to protect you from online scams and can detect specific activities related to scammers. Seraph Secure will also block malicious websites, phishing attempts, and send real-time alerts to a guardian.
